Imran to move SC over meeting denials

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has directed PTI leadership to take the matter of denial of his meetings with his friends and family to the Supreme Court.

Talking to media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), PTI Senator Ali Zafar quoted Imran Khan as saying that he was ready to hold talks in national interest. He said many PTI lawyers visit Adiala Jail for meeting with Imran Khan. The requests, signed by Raja, include Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan, PTI leader Shibli Faraz, Sunni Ittehad Council chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza, MWM chief Allama Nasir Abbas, Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Ahmad Bhachar, and Niazullah Niazi as Imran Khan's friends. Family members listed in the request include Aleema Khanum, Uzma Khanum, Noreen Khanum, and Qasim Zaman.

Although Thursday is typically reserved for meetings with friends, Raja has requested that the Adiala Jail administration allow Imran Khan's family members to meet him, as they were denied access during the family visit day on Tuesday..
